The California Gold Rush of 1849 was all about adventure, hard work, and creating something for yourself. It was the essence of the American spirit—you could even argue that it defined a lot of our nation’s character. It’s that same spirit that led to the creation of Gold Rush Meats. Call it a passion project, a hobby, maybe even a retirement plan—it’s a new adventure for John and something to call his own.
Taking design cues from classic Italian packaging and infusing it with a modern Americana spirit we created a simple packaging system that differentiates each product through a bold color palette. Using the area code "209" to signify the provenance of the product creates a great bond to loyal, local customers.
