Truckee, CA-based Dirt Gypsy Adventures came to me looking to update their visual identity system to something that felt a little more professional and contemporary. They had a strong color palette established and a solid foundation for their logo. I chose to evolve what already existed—if it ain’t broken, right?

My initial logo study included a direction that modernized the existing typography, while keeping the overall character of the original. The small serifs from the original were difficult to produce and weren’t holding up on the shuttle fleet. I cleaned up and simplified the compass symbol as well to maintain integrity at smaller sizes on screen.
